Electronic powerhouses Disclosure are back with a charged-up reimagining of Faithless’ era-defining anthem ‘Insomnia’, released in celebration of the track’s 30th anniversary. Few songs carry the weight and legacy of the Faithless classic - it is a record that has soundtracked dancefloors, festivals, and late-night memories for three decades, and Disclosure step into that legacy with boldness, respect, and unmistakable flair.

Since its release in 1995, ‘Insomnia’ has become a foundational pillar of UK dance culture. Its iconic riff and slow-burn build have transcended generations, remaining just as electrifying in underground basements as they are on global festival stages. Reworking a track with that kind of emotional and cultural imprint is no small task, but Disclosure rise to it with a fresh angle rooted in their signature live-electronic energy.
Unveiled for the first time during their standout Glastonbury 2025 performance, the duo’s ‘2025 Edit’ amplifies the original’s tension while injecting a new sense of propulsion. Powered by live drums, an acid-soaked bassline, and rich layers of percussive movement, the rework feels both nostalgic and forward-leaning - a bridge between the era that birthed the classic and the new wave of dance music Disclosure helped shape.
What started as an exclusive live moment soon became something bigger. After seeing the explosive fan reaction, Sister Bliss reached out directly to make the release official, transforming the one-off edit into a full-circle collaboration between two generations of electronic innovators.
