CGuk's Top 10 Moments Of 2022


As we make our way into 2023, we're wrapping up the year by collating

our most iconic rap moments.



1️⃣ Snoop Dogg took back full control, and made history by re-acquiring the iconic

and game-changing Death Row Records label.





2️⃣ Central Cee had an incredible year. There are plenty of highlights from 2022 that we could have picked, but we have decided to highlight the moment he became the first UK rapper to get 1 billion Spotify streams.





3️⃣ Chris Brown performed in the UK for the first time in 12 years, with a monumental set at this years Wireless Festival.





4️⃣ Little Simz finally received her flowers as she won the Best Breakthrough Act at the Brits, and also won the highly reputable Mercury Prize for her album ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’.





5️⃣ Dr. Dre put on an incredible showcase as he brought out Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J Blige, 50 Cent and Eminem during his Super Bowl Halftime Performance.





6️⃣ Drake continued to make history, and took the record from The Beatles for the most top 5 singles of all time. The Toronto born rapper also became the highest selling artist in RIAA history, overtaking Eminem.





7️⃣ Jay Z showed some love to the Godfather of UK Rap. The music mogul co-signed and shouted out Giggs on DJ Khaled’s track ‘God Did’.





8️⃣ Nipsey Hussle deservedly received a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.





9️⃣ K Trap cemented himself as one of the hottest names in the game, and after numerous project releases his track ‘Warm’ got into the Top 20 singles charts over a year after its release, and received a huge remix with Skepta.





🔟 Stormzy made a huge comeback to the industry, and before releasing his 3rd studio album, he dropped 'Mel Made Me Do It', which had cameos from Jose Mourinho, Louis Theroux, Usain Bolt and more.
