Alté pioneer Boj returns with a powerful double release - 'Contraband' featuring Olamide and 'Diamonds' with Mavo - two striking singles that mark the beginning of a bold new chapter for the Lagos-born creative.

Arriving ahead of his upcoming sixth studio album, 'Duplicity' (out 5th December), the new releases perfectly encapsulate the project’s central theme - the balance between light and dark, good and bad, and the messy, beautiful space where both coexist.

Boj

On 'Contraband', Boj links up with Afrobeats heavyweight Olamide, a legend whose influence stretches back over a decade, with countless classics and over 4 million monthly listeners to his name. Meanwhile, 'Diamonds' introduces a new energy, featuring Nigeria’s breakout star Mavo, whose viral hits 'Escaladizzy' and 'Shakabulizzy' have amassed over 40 million streams in just four months. Together, the pair deliver a record that glows with charisma and the pulse of a new generation.

Set to be his most personal and experimental body of work yet, 'Duplicity' sees Boj exploring identity, conflict, and transformation. It’s the sound of an artist returning to his roots while simultaneously pushing the Alté movement into uncharted territory.

With this double drop, Boj proves once again why he remains at the forefront of Nigeria’s evolving soundscape - a visionary unafraid to embrace both sides of himself.
