Ghana’s breakout force Black Sherif returns with ‘PopStar’, a release that signals the beginning of a fresh chapter following the 'IRONBOY' phase - ushering in a more refined and self-assured version of the artist. Produced by Joker, the track reveals a different side to Sherif’s artistry. Stripping things back sonically, ‘PopStar’ leans into a softer, more reflective space, allowing his storytelling and emotional depth to take centre stage.

There’s a quiet confidence that runs throughout the record. Rather than chasing the moment, Sherif sounds fully settled within it - embracing his position with ease, clarity, and control.

Beyond the music, his influence continues to expand. Recently, PUMA tapped Sherif alongside Asamoah Gyan and Fanum to help unveil the brand’s 2026 World Cup kits in Brooklyn. The campaign spotlighted designs for Ghana, Portugal, Senegal, and several other nations, placing Sherif at the intersection of music, culture, and global sport.

As he gears up for what looks set to be a defining year, ‘PopStar’ feels like a statement of evolution. Grounded in themes of resilience, purpose, and self-awareness, Black Sherif continues to craft music that resonates far beyond borders.
