Jamaican-born, Miami-based production and DJ duo Bashment Sound return with explosive new single ‘Ballerina’, enlisting Nigerian superstar Rema and Jamaican dancehall heavyweight Skillibeng for a cross-continental link-up that feels as seamless as it is seismic.

‘Ballerina’ signals a bold step forward in dancehall’s ongoing evolution, shining a spotlight on the rising wave of Shatta Dancehall - a high-octane fusion sound that builds on the foundations of traditional dancehall while injecting fresh, global influences. The track pulses with energy, marrying infectious rhythms with charismatic performances from both Rema and Skillibeng.

Bashment Sound - comprised of Silent Addy and Disco Neil - have steadily carved out their position as key tastemakers within the culture. This release follows their 2025 global smash ‘Shake It to the Max’ alongside MOLIY, which featured Shenseea and Skillibeng - a record that dominated playlists and dancefloors alike.

Now, with ‘Ballerina’, Bashment Sound raise the bar once again. Bridging Jamaica, Nigeria and the diaspora at large, the trio deliver a statement of intent - one that underlines their upward trajectory and reinforces their role in shaping the future of dancehall.
