Anderson .Paak and Cordae are officially opening the door to their long-awaited collaborative era with 'A Good Day', the first single from their forthcoming joint album, 'Heavy Is the Crown', arriving on 23rd October.

The GRAMMY Award-winning .Paak and GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum rapper Cordae make an immediate impression on the new drop, with .Paak returning to his charismatic rap roots while Cordae glides across the production with the effortless flow that has become central to his sound.

There is a playful quality running through 'A Good Day', with the pair leaning into humour while paying homage to some familiar musical touchstones. The record weaves echoes of Bill Withers’ timeless 'Lovely Day' into the larger-than-life energy of Fatman Scoop’s legendary ad-libs, creating a track that feels deliberately nostalgic without being stuck in the past.

The collaboration itself has been a long time coming. Anderson .Paak and Cordae first connected on 'RNP', the fan-favourite from Cordae’s critically acclaimed debut album 'The Lost Boy'. What began as a standout collaboration has since developed into a creative partnership that has continued to grow, eventually leading the pair towards a full-length project together.

Now, 'Heavy Is the Crown' gives them the opportunity to explore that chemistry on a much larger scale. 'A Good Day' offers the first glimpse into what happens when .Paak’s musicianship, personality and versatility meet Cordae’s sharp lyricism and laid-back delivery, with both artists sounding completely at home alongside one another.

With the album set for release on 23rd October, 'A Good Day' marks the beginning of a new chapter for two artists who have already proven that their connection works. This time, they’re taking that chemistry beyond a single track and building an entire world around it.
