REVIEW: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019)
This heart-warming film from Marielle Heller poses as a biopic of the late television personality Mister Rogers, but on closer inspection is far more aspirational. Telling the story of an investigative journalist’s encounter with the almost improbably decent host of Mister Rogers’ Neighbourhood, it is more parable than procedural. Even viewers that are not aware of Rogers’ work (of which I was one) will be charmed by the hopeful tone of Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster’

REVIEW: Bombshell (2019)
Bombshell is probably the most high-profile film to tackle one of the last decade’s most prominent talking points, that being sexual harassment in places of power. Given how synonymous the #MeToo movement has become with modern news, it’s a surprise that it’s taken this long. Jay Roach’s film, written by Charles Randolph of The Big Short acclaim, covers the scandal which eventually led to notorious Fox News CEO Roger Ailes’ downfall. It boasts an outstanding cast, with Charli

REVIEW: 1917 (2019)
1917 had been hyped for some time prior to its release, beginning its Oscar-baiting towards the back end of last year. This is unsurprising, given it is heralded auteur Sam Mendes’ first film in four years. His last effort had been the dazzling but ultimately shallow Spectre, the much-anticipated follow-up to the lauded Skyfall. With those films, Mendes proved that he does cinematic spectacle better than most. And so, it’s not at all surprising that he should try his hand at

BRIT Awards 2020 | The Looks
So the BRIT Awards 2020 made its return earlier this week to celebrate the talent of some amazing artists within the last year. There were many highlights of the night, from Dave’s powerful performance to Lewis Capaldi’s acceptance speech. But let not forget the stunning looks that graced the red carpet that night! As you already know award shows are just my favourite thing to review, so let’s have a look at my favourite looks of the night… STORMZY I know they say ladies firs

REVIEW: Uncut Gems (2019)
Uncut Gems is one of the most exhilarating and stressful films I have watched. The Safdie Brothers' tale of high-stakes gambling moves at such a pace that it hardly allows you to draw breath as you try desperately to keep pace with its rapid plot. Turbo-charged by what is arguably a career-best performance from Adam Sandler (yes, THAT one), it manages to be distressing, laugh-out-loud funny and downright shocking all at once. We're only at the start of February and I think I'

REVIEW: Just Mercy (2019)
This hidden gem about the life of defence attorney Bryan Stevenson provides further evidence that Michael B. Jordan is one of the best actors working today. After the success of the Creed movies, it's easy to see the former Wire actor as little more than a hulking piece of eye candy. But Just Mercy shows that Jordan has serious acting chops, so much so that it's surprising he's been snubbed on the awards front. Credit must also go to director Destin Daniel Creton and his co-w

He has become one of the most successful young artists to come out of the UK scene in some time now, and at the tender age of 17, Deno is already building the foundations for an incredible career, which will continue to develop for years to come. We've seen him create some of the most infectious hits in recent times including, 'Pumpy', 'Motorola', 'Advice' and many more, and it was only right that he took them on tour up and down the UK. On the Birmingham leg of his tour, the

Top 5 Grammy Red Carpet Looks!
SAWEETIE One of my favourite looks of the night... simple but effective. Everything about this look was so careful thought out and executed from the random placement of the bobby pins in the hair to the jewel earrings to match, just stunning. Saweetie is wearing Moschino. CHRISSY TEIGAN Okay so this is by far my favourite look of the night, I am beyond obsessed. Where do I even begin to explain why I love this look so much?! For a start off she picked one of the hottest colou
